First my heartiest thanks and Eed Mubaraq to Masood for his out of way effort in prompt and highly informative replies.
My e client status which has been "In Process" for an eternity has changed to "decision made".
It says

"
Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.
"

What should I expect now.

I had my interview waiver on 31 Mar 03 and did my medicals on 15th apr 2003.

IF YOU HAVE PAID YOUR RPRF ( Right of Permanent Residence Fee ) and submitted all other requested documents such as PCC already, then you will receive a letter requesting your passports subject to successful background checks on security etc. Be patient, it might take another 3 months or so.

If you wish, we can do a status check from Case Management, Ottawa if you do not get anything in 3 months. We take about 2 working days to get the info. out. But i guess you should wait for now.

Well, you did not mention in your last posting that you have submitted your passport already to chc. If you submitted your passport to chc upon their request, then it should not take very long to get it back with your visa in it. Give it another 15 days and let us know your file number and full name and date of birth. we will check with Ottawa for you free of charge. will take around 2 days.

NDSingh:

I am really intrigued. Pardon my intrusion, but you are publicising here that you will check with Ottawa and get results in 2 days.

With all due respect, it is the embassy processing the application that has all the answers, not Ottawa AND two days for reply!!! ????? come on!!!

The length you have to wait from hereon depends on the embassy/consulate dealing with your application. While places like Delhi & Beijing can take up to 3 months, places like London or Buffalo can have a quicker conclusion to your application. Just hang tight and start making your 'goods to accompany & goods to follow' list. ...
