I need some clarification in this regard.
I have migrated from dubai via india.means last five years I have stayed few months in India and mostly in dubai. Last year landed in canada and doing temp jobs.stayed in US for some time recently.
I was told that all the dates should be very accurate with references for security clearances. My employer was not willing to wait long for cleranaces as he needs people now.
Clearances for my stay in US, if required, how to get. Please kindly clarify...It is very urgent for me.

When it comes to security clearance, I prefer to be honest.
Your US visit on B1/2 visa should have been documented somewhere by immigration. Not disclosing now might cause additional delay.
Besides, such a short visit should not create any issue.

Once I even mentioned my few hours stay in Singapore (my passport had single day entry stamp from Singapore customs)

I do not know about your specific circumstance, normally people take police clearance for the places where they have resided for more than 6 months. One of my friends has visited 103 countries on various assignments/tourism, taking security clearance for all those places would get him in a soup.

Touring the country do not require security clearance from that country for employment in Canada. The security clearance is required from countries where you lived and worked. (mostly spending 6 months in a country is deemed lived and worked). But in US even if you worked for 2-3 months its better to get the FBI clearance. Do not take chance on that one.

you'll find some info here : http://ssi-iss.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/ssi-iss/personnel/enqut-scrnng-eng.html

In your case , You will need clearance from India, Dubai and US. For US there will be excercise of sending them fingerprints on a form.

US Security / FBI Clearance :

Following is the instructions on obtain the check from the FBI web-site.

How to Request a Copy of Record (http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/fprequest.htm)
1. Complete Application form - http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/background-checks/applicant-information-form
2. Obtain proof of identity, which consists of a set of your fingerprints
(original card, no copies), with your name, date of birth and place of birth. Fingerprints should be placed on a
standard fingerprint form (US fingerprint card) (FD-258) commonly used for applicant or law enforcement purposes.
Information on where to go for fingerprinting is below.
3. Include $ 18 - U.S. dollars in the form of a money order, certified check
made payable to the Treasury of the United States, or you may pay by credit card
• Be sure to sign where required
• No personal checks or cash
• Must be exact amount
• If paying by credit card you must include the completed credit card payment form
• Credit cards will not be used for expedited mail services
4. Mail the items #1, #2, #3 (listed above) to the following address:
FBI CJIS Division – Record Request
1000 Custer Hollow Road
Clarksburg, West Virginia 26306

What Happens Next
If they find no record, you will receive a “no record” response. If you do have a criminal history record on file, you will receive your Identification Record, or “rap sheet.”
Note: Although the FBI employs the most efficient methods for processing these requests, processing times may take up to six weeks depending on the volume of requests received.
