Hi All
Could you please tell me the applying procedure for independent class immigration to Canada from USA?
The applicant is H1B holder, whose six year term will be over in February 2007.
Will it be possible to receive immigrant visa before this dead line if they are filing their papers on this month end.
Also, which Canadian visa port in the United States is fast?
Thanks for all your replies.
Best Regards

Hi,
APP ---Applied
AOR -- Acknowledgement of Receipt.
IA --- Initial Assessment
DOC --Further Documents sent after assessment
P.RQ -- Passport Request.
PCC is needed from India which is issued in the Indian consulates in USA. If your Indian passport was issued in one of the Indian consulates in US, they issue it on the same day if you go there in person. Otherwise they take 30-45 days. You need to get FBI clearance too. Sometimes, CIC asks for state clearances too.
You can send the application immediately and after getting the file number, you can attach PCC.
You can look at http://www.immigration.ca/discussion" rel="nofollow">LINK too.
Hi Raajen and Jatan
Thanks for your reply.
