Is there an easy and effective way to clean the stove, exhaust hood and other surfaces in Indian kitchen?

I tried Windex and Oxyclean, which are supposed to be tough on grease, but it might be Canadian grease, not Indian :p . Those products are not effective in removing the grease completely.

In past I used soap and water, but that is too time consuming and clumsy. Any other ideas?

Try the Arm & Hammer Baking Soda. Just sprinkle some powder and rub with a damp paper towel. It is time consuming but does a good job.

Look for a stove cleaner .They are very effective and fast but involve some scrubbing

Try SCRUB FREE/LYSOL KITCHEN CLEANER. After u spray on the greasy area leave it for some time and then SCRUB and clean it. It works really good. It even removes the stains from indian spices like Haldi and stuff.

I use Windex on almost anything! But I have switched from using normal J-cloths to microfibre clothes to do the cleaning as I find it cleans much better.
