Do any one living in mississauga have used services of good cleaning company/person. I am looking to clean kitchen . Does anyone know of good company/person who can do clean job and a competitive price.

You have been here long enough. So, what I am going to tell you will be nothing new. It will not be the kind of services that you want to order from any of the top notch group. I will give you a few names that comes to my mind and you can google them and also call and get to know what you can expect from them. For some, the time that they charge starts from the time that they leave their residence. A few will be from the time of arrival at your door. You got to ask and when you do, they will know that you are a newbie trying to get their services. Some call it Maid Services and the other as Janitorial services.

The per hour charges start from $25/hr. Some have a minimum of 3 hours and a few at a flat rate of $125/session and it is for a ONE BR Apt, and it is NO MORE THAN 4 hours and you can ask for a quote from them. They even provide you a consultation service.

Most of them do not bring their Cleaning kit. You will have to provide them. They bring in their rubber gloves or the 'skin' that they get in boxes. The allergy scene enters here in the picture, plus the choice of the eco materials one want to use in the current days plays the role in it. A few kitchen counters only see soap and water.

Molly the maid, is a well known services and most of them are BONDED workers. The rest is at your own risk. Here is a list of things that they do and also they do not.

Types of home cleaning services include:

Dusting
Polishing
Vacuuming
Dust baseboards and windowsills
Clean around switch plates and door frames to remove dirty marks
Clean mirrors
Wash floors
Cleaning inside windows
Clean kitchen
Light cleaning of kitchen appliances
Wipe down kitchen cupboards
Clean bathrooms
Clean out closets and drawers
Change bedding
Laundry and ironing
Take out garbage

Note: "our" companions are prohibited from:
Lifting out heavy windows to clean
Climbing ladders to get at draperies or light fixtures
Moving heavy furniture
Shampooing carpets
Washing walls and ceilings.

and cooking meals.

If you EVER want your..
Stove top or the Exhaust fans,
The Refrigerator interiors and the bottoms or the coils,Tthe Dishwasher racks,
Toaster or the Toaster Oven OR
Clean the Vacuum cleaner bags etc., YOU HAVE TO DO THAT.
They will mop the floors and Vacuum the carpets. They will Also
do the TOILETS and Bath Tubs or the showers.

AND.. they do not want you to watch over them when they are at it. That is a NO NO.

Some items I do on my own accord in my own place, and it is twice a year. There are other things that I do as a ritual in the garage with a Broom and only if there is a spill, I will mop or clean an oil stain. Once an year I do the exterior of the windows and hose down a few locations and the garage doors. All of these chores are carried out prior to the onset of the FALL and everything gets put away till the Victoria day week end in the month of May of the next year.

To inform you all, though the house is as tight as a toad's horse the dust that rises out of these carpets and the wall and ceiling paint can be easily noticed when I clean out the filter inside the vacuum cleaner gives me an idea as to where it is generated from. I am flabbergasted to see what all items that come out such as staples, pins and hair clips and the hairs, lint, dust, carpet stubble, cobwebs, dust-bunnies and not in the least to leave out all of the runaways from the food plates and the crumbs, cookies and dead flies and insects etc., also a few of the coins that go rolling and no one really cared to bend down and pick them, in this affluent society. All of these are a few that you all can vouch for and chime in here. Only a few cleaning services are that perfect and catch all of these that I get in my current DIRT DEVIL.

There are a few families in which there are two career people who do most of these till they bring up their own kids and expect them to help out for a few bucks which they call it as an allowance, (Cheap Labour) and a lot of them just don't give a hoot about their home and live like Pxxs. That is also par for this society.

Some have cars that they know it works when you turn on the key and they have no clue what makes it run and they get them 'detailed' now and then. A Few who have their own businesses, surely can get all of the best and charge it to the company that they run. Way to go guys, if you know how to live it up.

I am all for it too, only if you can shoulder the expenses.

A few have started this as a business here and just take the calls and book them and take a commission from the people who book them. Great way to go.
