Hey Guys!

I just landed here a few months back and recently got my driving liecence too. Now I want to buy a car but coz I am under 25, single and this would be my 1st car here, my insurance is like 6000 / year..!
(and that is for a $2000 car)

Pheww...

can anyone please suggest any "desi" way to bring this down? Is there anything I can do?

I already have completed one of those driving-programs.

So can anythin be done? PLZ PLZ do lemme know, if any1 knows something. Like if I get a car on lease, will it still cost me the same?

Plz lemme know.
Thnx!

Call TD. Good for beginners.
Go for just 3rd party. Even if your car goes total, your loss is less than 2K.

Welcome to the real world!

Installing anti-thefts, driving less, moving to more safe area, G license or driving certificate, etc for sure does help.
For a 2K car, nothing except G or "certificate" might help you.

Belair Direct and PC Financial are other two good ones.
I have heard that some private credit unions offer insurance which is quite low.you might want to search/ google to find out. Call them and ask for a quote.
Belair, TD Bank and PC financial take 3-4 weeks to give you a quote. If the quote is acceptable to you, then registration/ enrollment is immediate.

CD's,
I have a TD bank Insurance. Recently I got 3 demerit points for speeding.
I am a G2 license holder.
Today I called up TD bank to insure another family member in my household who hold G2 which was passed 2 weeks back.
Wonders ! After entering all the information, The female agent told me that my due to the inclusiion, My car insurance will reduce by $10 a month (Fron $250 to $240).
What a Joke !
Any CD's have any idea as to how this can be?
Regards,
TK A

That's probably 'cause your demerit points haven't gone on record as yet. You may have to wait until your renewal is due to see the raise (if it happens)

TD insurance is better for new comers. Go for 3rd party coverage. Just call their toll free number and get a quote.
