From the day I arrived in India, I have been trying to extend my stay and the date of travel in AF. Cant get it from Paris to Montreal. I have given several dates, even for one ticket, still of no avail. Lot of tension.

DIO,
Air France customer service sucks big time in India but the incident that you have shared with us in CD does not prove that Air France sucks. Basically you are in a peak season and that is why all flights are full and this in turn makes it very hard to reschedule your dates. In fact you might get the same answer / procedure from Lufthansa, Sing. Airlines etc...
When i was in India and when i tried to reconfirm my tickets, I could not get the line to Air France Bangalore office for many days and then when i did get through after a couple of days, they said that there was no need to reconfirm. But i was not satisfied with their answer and so i called up Chennai Air France office and i got through the first time and the Customer service was good. They explained to me saying that there was no need to reconfirm my tickets. They also went a step ahead by seeing if my name was in the charts for my date of departure. It was there. I was happy with that service.

By and large, all most all the western airlines are not taking care about their passengers, and they never lose business. I am happy with Singapore Airline services.

I have unpleasent experience with British, Lufthansa, Air France, Air Canada..................

But I have no choice.....................

It's coincidental that I read in todays (July 21) Times of India about a 41hour Air France flight delay. I was trying to find the article on the website but I can't seem to find it. It can be read through an epaper edition only.
Here's the link to the epaper edition:http://epaper.timesofindia.com" target="_blank">epaper.timesofindia.com but you need to have an Indiatimes ID. It's on page 10 in the Mumbai edition.

the actual flight journey itself is good but it the ground and transit service tht prompts us to say Air france is not good or upto the mark

facilities in paris CDG airport really suck. no water fountain. we have to buy bottled water for 3-4 euros after exchanging US or CA Dollars for a fee.

It is very amusing to see that water, which is basic need of human beings, is not provided at a large number of 'posh' locations/facilities. I think it is a human rights issue.
