These facts really make us proud. However, are we not highly individualistic in India? Has it got something to do with our history of the last 1000 years? We don’t want to administer us ourselves, but would like to outsource it to somebody else. Our “Namaken Vambu” (Why get involved) attitude is very frustrating. Because of this, in a state like TN or Bihar, money meant for the poor is siphoned off by people in power. The corrupt leaders would proclaim, they were born to serve the people until the last drop of blood is left in their body, but in reality do the opposite. To set things right,as a first step, people should start voting 100% to instil some fear in the politicians that they cannot give false promises and get away. As of now, the voting (excluding all the bogus voting and malpractices) is hardly 50%.
