There are as many as 259 NRIs in overcrowded British jails, a home office study said on Friday.
The number of Pakistani-origin prisoners in British jails is slightly higher at 444. The total population in the prisons is 78,857.

3m, your calculation is incorrect , the actual percentage is 0.33%, which could be a high percent considering the description as NRIs( non resident Indians- still Indian Passport holders) than PIOs( Person Of Indian Origin).
