I was advised by a kind, helpful person from a different forum to address you in this forum, so I will do so, and I thank you in advance for your time. Here is my problem.

My boyfriend and I (both Romanian citizens) have been living together
in the U.S. for two years. He has applied for the Canadian permanent
residency within the skilled worker class and is about to have his
interview. We have recently decided to have me join him and
eventually move to Canada with him. Now we're wondering if he should
update his application at this point so that we both could be
interviewed together, or if we should wait until he emigrates and
eventually get married. If he updates his application now what will
be an approximate delay because of this intervention? Which option is
less time consuming and less of a hassle?
