Hello All,
I have a question on Immigration Points eligibility for skilled workers.
As per on-line Self Assessment tool for skilled workers on the CIC website, in adaptability section, Point # 3. is for \\\"Principal Applicant or Spouse Common-Law Partner has worked in Canada\\\". Here there are two options to choose from:
1) No, or has worked full-time in Canada for less than one year
OR
2) Worked full-time in Canada for at least one year.
Nowhere does it say that the work experience must be one of NOC or NOT.
Cause i landed here in march 2006 on open work permit and worked in call centers (credit Cards) until july 2006 - which is a Skill Level C as per NOC.
I applied for Immigration as a skilled worker in August 2006. Since July 2006, I have been working in a skill level B of NOC and will complete 1 year in July 2007 and will then gain 5 more points in Adaptability factor.
However, I wanna know If ANY Skill level job is considered valid - then i need not with till July 2007 and can claim 5 points for adaptabilty in march 2007.
I hope i did not confuse anyone. Thanks for this great forum and thanks for all the help!
HI parimal,
You would be eligible for 5 points in adaptability in March 2007 as it does not matter in which NOC you have worked.
