On work permit.....is it possible to apply for a PR from Canada?

Just a quick question....

If a person is eligible and qualifies for a Canadian PR, can he/she apply for a PR while being in Canada on a work permit?

If yes, what is the timeline for such applications?

Just a quick answer
Yes
One has to apply at Buffalo and current time line is 19 months.
I presume u have asked for Federal Skill Worker Application without HRDC confirmed job.

I understand Buffalo is in US.

Can someone on Work Permit in Canada visit Buffalo to submit application for PR. Are there any requirement to get US VISA or any other paper work.

One does not have to physically visit Buffalo (or any other place) to hand in visa paperwork. That's what the postal system is for. However, if you get summoned for the visa interview, then you have to make the trip.

That depends on your country of citizenship.
If you are an Indian citizen, then yes.
If you are a citizen of one of the VW countries for the US (UK, France, etc), then, no.

Keep in mind that if you are a citizen of any of the "black-listed" countries, your US visa processing can take several weeks (for background checks).
