hello all,
We landed in Aug 2004 and got our goods to follow list stamped and went out of Canada after 15 days or son and are now moving in july this year.
There have been changes in the goods mentioned on the "goods to follow"list eg laptops have changed, sports gear (golf clubs etc) have changed.
Would you know, if these changes make any difference.
If so, is it possible to amend the goods to follow list?
If not, any "legal" suggestions to avoid paying customs duty
rgds,
newboyo
If its just laptop and golf clubs I don’t think you need to amend the goods to follow list (not sure if it is even possible) and I don’t think you need to pay any duties. As for laptops, these days carrying a laptop during travel has become so common that it has been accepted as a personal item and nobody will ask anything abt it as long as its is not brand new and in its original packing. As for golf clubs, again if they look like they are used and not brand new you should not have a problem.
