This is the good location sp. for newcomers, everything is close by, bloor and yonge subway lines are easily accessible thru Lawrence W. and Keele subway.

School wise..no idea....rest everything is best...so far for me..

Just as some additional data for you.. We just recently moved and rented a 2 br apt in the intersection of Bathurst and Sheppard for rent of 1150. It takes me 10 minutes via TTC bus to reach to the subway(downsview). 10 minutes sounds a lot, but it is just because of the multiple stops rather that because of distance. As already mentioned Indian stores are in Islington, but there are other grocery shops nearby. just yesterday we went walking to a 24 hour dominion for icecream around midnight just because I got one of my 'urges'. Is this the best place to rent?.. No idea, but so far no complaints. In the limited time that I had to search for apmts, this was one which was closest to our criteria for cleaniness, budget and proximity to the subway.
