Has somone recently attended Oath Ceremony in Canada esp. in mississauga, ON
what is the current waiting period after writing the citizenship test. I am waiting over six months. Any suggestions. I already called CIC to inquire about the status. They told me that it is in process. I applied in April 2003.
Your replies will give me some directions.

I am also in the same boat and keep on checking estatus online on their website at http://www.cic.gc.ca." rel="nofollow">LINK The whole process takes any where between 10-12 months. I applied in Feb 2003. They sent me a book \"A look at Canada\" in March, 2003. In Oct 2003 they sent us a letter to appear in the \"citizenship test\" on 19th Nov., 2003. At that time they told us that we would be hearing between 6-8 weeks after the test. Now after 7 weeks have passed I checked today the estatus and my decision has been made on 12th Jan 2004. I called their call centre and it took more than an hour in getting some one online after numerous attempts and they would not tell you any more than you see on the estatus. They would simply say that a decision has been made and they would be writing to us soon, in any case before March, 2004 but would not reveal what the decision is.
So my friend, you can safely assume that it would be close to 1 year before you take the Oath.

Pramod Chopra , Alteast they have made the decision on your case. My online status is still says that I have to appear for the test even thouugh
have given test 6 months back.
