No need to spend more than one lac rupees for paying to consultant. All you will need is a computer, printer and ofcourse Adobe Acrobat (the free reader version will not allow you to save the file, i.e. you will have to type and print immediately). Get the Adobe Acrobat PRofessional version and get going.

Save the money for showing to the Canadian govt. and ofcourse once you reach Canada, you will need the money.

Best of luck!!

Dear febpreet,

i am told by that agent that they can get me the PR within 2 & 1/2 years time. whereas when i went through the canadian website i found that the time taken to grant PR visa by canadian embassy in india is always 5 years or more. would you please throw a little light on it. how much time did they take in your case? is there any way (may be from some other country accessible from india) to try for PR, may be, within a year or so?

hope to hear from you soon.

nick

Hi

As everyone said.....plz do not waste ur hard earned money on worthless consultants/lawyers. Just invest some time on these websites and you will be all set to apply on ur own go thru this website which is an immigration forum and the ppl are very helpful at each step.

if you go thru that immigration agency, forget about getting your money back. If you are an Inst engr and have 13 yrs of exp, coming to Edmonton /Calgary-Alberta will be better. this is the land of oil and gas. If you are thinking about going to toronto, take my advice dont. Kindly have APEGGA assess your engineering degree before you come here.

dear friend adi,

thanks for your guidance. as you are already in canada and alberta, i would like to have some information. firstly, is it that i need to specify a place/state at the time of application where i intend to go or is it that application is automatically considered for other places/states except "quebecc"? secondly, could you please tell me how much time will be required for getting pr visa from india? and what is the cost involvemnt for that if done independently?
regards.
