Hi,
I know a consultant who is looking for people with background in Building Automations Systems. Since, I am in this field and already employed, I want my fellow Indians/Pakis/Bangladeshis who have been in this field and looking for a break to write to me , so that I can tell them the phone no of this consultant.

Regards,

Pranav Sharma

Sunil, Building Automation involves controls of Airconditioning equipments like Chillers, AHU's , Variable Air Volume units through a Computer in the control room.
Its quite an interesting field.

Which company you r working for. Just wann ask you one thing, since I am still new to this country. What is P Eng. I am an Engineer too but have done my studies in India. Do let me know.

Bye for now

Pranav,
Thanks for the information, in fact, I had the same feeling, but wanted to make sure.
P.Eng. stands for Professional Engineer. You can have answers to your queries from the website of Professinal Engineers of Ontario, visit http://www.peo.on.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK

Sunil,

If you came from India and got your P.Eng from here, your experiences might help us. Can you please highlight some of the points?

Yes, I am a proud Indian and have done all my graduationa and post graduation from India, MS University of Baroda. I think, PEO needs to assess the capabilities of candidates in real terms for P.Eng. apart from its routine academic qualifications. We all Indians (except some who may not agree becoz of some reasons) must admit that the way of working in India is absolutely opposite than the way people work in North America, especially in construction sector. In India, we do not have any 'hands on experience' since we really did not need it, there were several subordinates to do the other misc. jobs that we never cared for doing anything on our own completely. Well, coming back to PEO, just follow the instructions carefully and submit all documents in order, and make sure that the resume you submit has all the five components, PEO is very cooperative in responding. You may be surprised to know that I could get my P.Eng. license in less than 18 months and that too, before I could get my citizenship.
