I pay CAD 18.95 per month.
for receving and sending... I use around ... 15 pages per month. (both receiving and sending)
Whether it is worth the money ? It is individual's call.
I like the flexibility / convinience and ease of use (of this service) as all faxes come to your email, I get in pdf formats, if I have to sign something, I do it electronically and fax it back with no delay. Hence works for me.

The Free trial used to be really free (I do not recall it requiring a Credit card) the only thing is you I can not send faxes using the free account.

Besides the Paid Account in Canada ( Canadian local number ) I have a FREE account as well, with a non-local number (801) area code,which I had signed up in USA. and am still using it with no hassles whatsoever and no charges of any kind.


I just checked theefax site now, and yes it is now charging all kinds of fees, like one time activation fee etc. When I signed up for the first time these charges were not there.

Also the usage is NOW restricted to 200 pages ( for paid accounts)

Outbound (Sent) faxes are billed at $0.10 per page to destinations in the US/Canada; overage charges will apply whenever usage exceeds the monthly credit of $3.00 for sending faxes. For rates to destinations outside of US, please visit https://www2.efax.com/efax/twa/getRates
Inbound (Received) faxes to US/Canada Local eFax numbers are billed at $0.15 per page to destinations in the US; overage charges apply whenever usage exceeds the monthly credit of 130 pages for receiving faxes.
Inbound (Received) and Outbound (Sent) faxes to US/Canada Toll-Free eFax numbers are billed at $0.20 per page; overage charges apply whenever your usage for Outbound faxes exceeds the monthly credit of $3.00. There is no Inbound monthly credit available.
A page of fax is equivalent to a 60-second transmission or less:

If the number of pages per fax exceeds the number of minutes it took to transmit, you will be charged for the number of pages transmitted.
If the number of pages per fax is lower than the number of minutes it took to transmit, you will be charged for the number of pages equivalent to the number of minutes of the fax transmission.
Monthly or Annual charges are billed to your credit card on your regular (anniversary) billing date, which is determined by your account's creation date. Outbound and inbound faxing charges are debited from a separate prepaid usage balance; your reorder (top-up) amount is billed to your credit card whenever your service credit is exhausted and your top-up balance (less the estimated charges for any pending faxes) drops to $2.00.

The top-up amount is set to $10.00 by default; to change this amount, please click HERE (for Paid customers only).

eFax Pro Usage

The eFax Pro plan allows you to Send faxes and Receive faxes and voicemails. This includes 200 pages of Free Received fax pages/voicemail minutes per month (60-second transmission time or less).

The reason I am not paying additional charges is I am using only 15 pages per month or so..... which is covered in the given limits
