I wanted to find out if after completing the 3 yrs one can file for citizenship and leave canada while waiting for the decision.

I have a question in the same context. My 3 years are going to be completed in Feb, 2008. It means that I can apply for citizenship in March, 2008. Precisely, how much time does it normally take to get the citizenship after applying for it?
