From what I understand even Phillipinos who wish to come here on a care giver program come here from HongKong / Singapore / Tokyo. That is one of the reason Phillipinpo caregivers move to these countries as there may be a long wait time to get their applications processed in Manila / Cebu.
Our care giver came from Hong Kong and she was a Phillipino(very professional). The cost would be in the zone of approx $1800 - $2000 per month with pay, room and meals.Either the employer or the employee has to pay taxes on the room and board as well. There is a big misconception out there and employers deduct those benefits from the pay.Either the employee or the employer has to pay taxes on those perks/intangible benefits.
Actually we are moving to Canada in December 2011 as a permanent residence.
Is there any possibility that i can sponsor her (nanny).
I do not want any Fillipino or anybody else for that matter.
She has been taking care of my kids for the last 10 years and obviously we trust her.
If anyone has some information that how can i bring her to Canada then please help me.
