Hi Jyothi,

I will be entering the phase you are currently in pretty soon but have thought of starting part-time with volunteer work in the first year which gives flexibility of time and then on to higher studies as soon as my son starts full day school.
Hope this helps

Shriya.

Hello jyoti.....I feel that if u can afford to stay at home for another 2 yrs till ur child starts school, it'll be gr8. There is nothing greater for a kid to have his mom at home atleast in the first few growing up years.Meanwhile if u could do some part time work or volunteer work as Shriya suggested,it'll help u to be in touch with ur career and also give u the req. canadian exp.Correct me if Im wrong.
. BTW even I am planning to move this coming June with my kids first and then my hubby will follow after few months. I am also keen on doing some volunteer/part time course just after I land considering the fact that schools will be closed till Sept. and my kids will have to be at home. Can anyone suggest to me how I should go abt. finding info abt. the volunteer course and what short term course would be good for me(Im an architect). Another query was regarding summer camps or classes for kids there in Calgary in June July August. Are there summer camps held as part of the school activity in summer?

Go back to work or higher studies. Try to get your parents and inlaws from India

seriously? so you want to use your parents or parents in-laws as free baby sitters?
and for how long? 1 year, 2 years, 3 years?
something about this idea abhors me totally.
if you wanna enhance your educational qualifications or make money by working pay for it on your own and not by using your parents as free day care

Just for knowledge, One question came in mind, if your parents are living with you on PR status and they are taking care of your child. would you able to claim in your income tax or not? Suppose you are paying $400/month, so will able to show their income as $400/month and can get benefit from income tax from your side or not?
