Hillary has taken all the poll pundits by surprise, so they are looking at the reason for her turnaround and that choking incident is being brought into play.
But i think the way Edwards "ganged" up with Obama during the debate, it gave Hillary some votes.
He wanted to "finish off" Hillary so that he could have a one on one with Obama. But i guess the whole thing misfired on him badly. But i guess he will end up being what he is a "vice- presidentail"candidate for Obama.

I think you are onto something and both of these incidents had a part to play. After all its about perception. Many women may have identified with her choking up...especially ones on the fence.
I think that the greatest impediment to Hillary is the knowledge, especially amongst men, that she has shown to be as determined/unscrupulous as any of them. I think Pratick touched on this in other words. The 'choking up' seems to have softened that perception to some extent.
However, its just the beginning. Could swing any which way.

Prior to New Hampshire, the media had suddenly found out Obama to be "tall, dark and handsome" and ready to crown him No.1. They were saying that NH was in his bag just like Iowa, but the results turned out otherwise. Still one cannot be sure about Hillary's fortunes.
Ever since we saw educated Americans with headlamps searching for ghosts at night (as shown in Discovery Channel), their claims for rational thinking and liberal outlook took a beating. With people like Osama Bin Laden and George Bush around they need not be afraid of apparitions in haunted houses. They are as much narrow minded and superstitious as anyone else. Probably more. In India, we can see, illiterates without job or home having a nice afternoon siesta on graveyard marble stones. May be they are poor and physically weak compared to Americans. They are worldy wise. It is because such people are in majority in India we are able to accept women to lead us.

Obama has learnt quite well from Indian commies! May be our comrade Karat is helping him. He talks about "Hope" Vs Fear and "Uniting" people. No body ever asked him to elaborate on this. Typically White youth are his mainstay. I do not know how savvy he will be to ride USA out of financial nighmare. Personally I believe that momentum will see him through as Dm nominee. I believe that this is Republican conspiracy. He is winning all "Independent" votes in red states and once he becomes Dm nominee , RP will kick him out in presidential race.
My wish is that he becomes President . That will help end USA dominance of 200 years! History teaches us that no power has ever remained "Super power for more than 300 years starting with Roman empire and ending with British. Now is the time for vily Chinese and Obama will help accelearte USA dominance. Hillary and Bill are too experienced and they can turn the tide and undo all kinds of damage done by BUSH.
Let us sincerely cheer for Obama ( By th way guy is friend of Italian land Mafia Rizzoto of IL, his home state). He will certainly be friendly with our commies Karat and Sonia. Hope that helps India
