Some Ideas can be :

1. Latest news affecting Desi's in Canada (which can be got by reading local / desi newspapers).
Eg.
a. What do you think about Aishwarya's and Abisheik's recent Engagements
b. Do you think we need to fear while vacationing South of USA?

2. Desi lifestyles
a. Foods
b. How long we eat out (In a a week/ month/year etc..)
c. Where we buy cloths (Bay /Sears/Other desi stores/never in Canada etc...)
d.. Kids (1,2,3,4, none )
e. How long do you plan to stay in Canada ( until retirement, forever,5 years, 10 years etc...)
f. Where do you buy Groceries (Chinese mall, Indian Store, Flea market near closing time/Std. Canadian grocery chains etc...)

More ideas similar to the above is available with me. If interested , please PM me.
