Dear Experts
I am a student and I am unemployed. My friend plans to visit me this summer. He is employed in India and can arrange to show that he has good ties back home.
Could you please advise what documents I should send him from here. The New Delhi Canadian Consulate website mentions that they need the following
For Tourist Visitors
Letter of invitation and/or statutory declaration of support
Financial documentation of invitor:
Notice of Assessment
Proof of employment
Proof of invitor’s existing funds
I personally think that I should not even attempt to send any documents saying that I am sponsoring him. Should I send only a letter of invitation, a copy of my PR card, proof of funds in my bank account? Your views would be highly appreciated.
Also kindly let me know what is a 'Notice of Assessment' and T4.
Thank you
* In the letter of invitation, you can say they you will take care of your friend's lodging, boarding and local travel.
* Notice of Assessmnet : You will receive from Revenue Canada once you file your Tax Return
* T 4: Your will receive from your employer which gives information about salary paid to you during the year, deductions and employer contributions.
