I've a plan to apply for Canadian Immigration. I can apply from islamabad & London (since I'm living in Saudia for more than one year). Now guide me from which Visa office should I apply?

How long will this process take to complete from Islamabad - pakistan & London.

Islamabad office takes about 5 years where as London office takes about 2.5 years.

For details see the

Below is the information from the website of Canadian Embassy, Abu Dhabi:

"Interview Procedures in the Gulf

For all London's cases referred to Abu Dhabi for interviews, we will contact you as soon as an interview spot is available. The waiting period for an interview in the Gulf area is purely a function of the number of cases we receive at any given time. You must continue to direct all inquiries, change of address or marital status, etc, to the Canadian High Commission in London.

Only applicants residing in the Gulf Peninsula at the time of the interview CAN and WILL be interviewed."

Thanks for your guidence. Today I visited London site & found following info for Fees.

Applicant: $550 (processing fee) + $490 (RPRF) $1040
Spouse/Partner: $550 (processing fee) + $490 (RPRF) $1040

What does RPRF mean? I'm going aplly for Canadian Immigration as Principal Applicant along with my Spouse, How much payment I'll have to send along with "Simplified Application"

CIC advises you to pay RPRF at the time of medical test. You need not pay it now.

Below is the information about RPRF from CIC website.

"4. RIGHT OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE FEE (RPRF)
(Canadian dollars)

For the acquisition of permanent resident status $490
This fee is payable by principal applicants (with some exceptions) and accompanying spouses and common-law partners. It must be paid before the immigrant visa is issued overseas or before the applicant becomes a permanent resident in Canada.

The following applicants are not required to pay this fee:

dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild; and
protected persons, including Convention refugees. "
