VISITOR VISA - PARENTS

Hello Everyone.

I need an advice from all of you. Now I am very much confused.

In 2006 , my parents applied for Visitor visa and they got the visa for 1 year, but they never got a chance to come to Canada.

Now, they again applied for visitor visa as their visa’s got expired. Now, they again submitted the application for visitor visa along with the passports at VFS.

But this time, after 8 days, there passports were returned back and asked them to submit the passports again after 10 days. My parents went to VFS and enquired about the situation and they said that this is the common and they advised to submit the passports after 10 days.

But, yesterday, my parents got a call from Canada Embassy and they were advised to send a resume and also advised to goto VFS and collect an application form to fillout which they are sending to my parents.

We don’t know what is that application and why they are asking for resume.

Anyone had this kind of experience

I need a positive advise from all of you.

Hello,

Your Parents applied for a Visitor's Visa for one year and it was granted. But they did not avail the use of the same.

The Procedures are generally the same. But they could have a current variance at the localities that you go to in India, and it is the current practice. Please follow it to completion.

They have their own requirements for each type of Visa and the forms associated with them and the procedural format that goes with each form. When you follow the same accordingly, it speeds things up for you and for the others too.

These are my current findings and please be guided by them.

Freddie, my parents submitted correct sort of applications forms.

I don't know which form they are sent and why they need resume of my father.

Lets hope the best.

Hello Goud,

Here are the forms that they are asking Temporary Resident Visa Applicants to fill

1) http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5257B.PDF

2) http://vfs-canada.co.in/images/PIF.pdf

3) Another item is the check list : http://vfs-canada.co.in/images/TRV%20Checklist.pdf

Since you don't know what it is that your Parents will have to fill out, please read the above linked forms and the check list also and do the needful with clear cut instructions to follow from this end. Now you are way ahead of the game. Make note that they have made it very clear in their requirements that the visitors will have to return back to their country of Origin.

Hi Freddie,

I myself filled all the required forms and sent to my parents for submission.

I haven't missed any forms.

Last month i even helped my friend for filling of application forms and they got the visa.

It was same with my parents case too.

Now , we are waiting for the form from the CHC. They said that they have dispatched it to VFS and they also requested Resume of my DAD

Lets see, how it goes.
