I spoke to Bell tech support and was told that the condo apt building is a bit far from the hub/box. I would get 0.5 Mbps which is much slower than 1.4 Mbps what I am getting now from Bell. Rogers is saying that they will provide 7 Mbps for the Express (which I dont believe). Rogers is few $$ more than Bell. I am going to go with Rogers. When I called Bell to cancel the service, they started saying that I would get 7 Mbps (their billing office). Since they are not the tech folks, I just let it slide and told them to cancel.
DIO
why dont you try primus.
for 59.95 a month you can get
home phone with 9 calling features
long distance US and can included
high speed internet
its a 1 yr contract and after it is 69.95
it however dosent come with cable tv. adding cable tv comes to like 50 bucks more
i have cable thru the condo.
go to the primus website
ive been using primus for over a year now and no probs
In terms of speed, Rogers would be better off than Bell since Rogers is not dependant on distance from CO. Both are no good if you are into torrents. Both ISPs use traffic shaping.
Primus is okay as long as you do not have any technical problems. Tech support wait is too long especially in the evenings.
