well, even hiding valuables doesnot work, because these thieves have metal detector to locate gold & other stuff. My friend, who used to live in one of the aptts in the Dundas/Hwy10 area lost their gold which was hidden under the garbage bin.
The best solution is to keep all valuables (including imp documents/PR cards/PP's etc) in a safety deposit box. For laptops/cameras etc, its better to use a lockable steel filing cabinet. The appts/condos in the Dundas/Hwy10 area are very prone to this kind of thefts, .... no idea why...........!!

I recently saw a home safe locker in one of the stores recently . Since jewelry can't be left in a bank locker all the time , it might be worthy to buy a safe for home and keep all valuables in it ----- or else keep the valuables in a hidden / unassuming place .

happily holi day!
Is there any firms other than banks that provide safe deposit boxes/vaults? Any private security firms or so?
My bank don't work on weekends, so a big timing issue. + the locker we got is the smallest size.. tough to squeeze everything in. Still on waiting list for a bigger size locker!
