Hi group
I was just wondering if any of you have any experience in returning a leased car to the dealership after the lease period is over. My lease is coming to an end in abt a month and I would like to know if there is anything I need to be careful abt so that I don’t get ripped off by the car sales people. Pls help me out with your suggestions.
Also can you pls suggest some reliable mechanic who can fix a small dent on the door of my car.
Thanks for any help

If you have many kms left on the car, you could be better off buying it off rather than returning to dealer and selling it outside privately. It will depend on the exact car and condition though.
If you are planning to return and lease the latest model, then you shouldn't be getting into any issues; but if u r just returning and you hadn't bought their protection insurance, they can give you a hard time - depends on dealership ofcourse. They will cite replacement for any non-genuine parts - including oil filter!! Another thing is the stone chips (or something like they say) - which is essentially small scratches on the bottom of the car caused by small stones from freeway flying from ur wheel and hitting the bottom of the car. They will put small numbers - 100-150 max, but adds up to a good amt.
Thanks Viggy
I am planning to return the car and not go for another. i am expecting the dealership to give me some trouble and trying to figurre out how to deal with it.
Any idea abt a good mechanic to do body work.
Thanks
