Dear Desis in Ottawa and other Desis living in this area.
If any one has past experience in going to Kingston and same day return from Ottawa. We 4-5 families likely to visit Kingston on coming long weekend on Saturday . Anybody have been there before on one day trip? Where we can sit and have our food. Last week we went to Canada Upped Village. but that was not officially opened yet but had a very nice time. kindly share and most welcome if anyone wants to join us.
Thanks

From Ottawa, you can easily to a day trip to Kingston.
You can do the 3 hr. cruise if you wish and still have some time left over.
The old downtown is nice and you can spend some time there.
I don't see any need to spend more than 1 day there.

There is a small picnic area next to the boarding area for the boat tours.
In addition, there are picnic benches at several places.
There are restuarants and fast food places, too - lots of options.
