Hi
Is the OHIP card always valid even if I leave Canada for more than six months . can i use this card at any time .My expiry date is 2010

As per MOHLTC, you have to reside in Ontario for at least 5 months in any 12-month period, to be eligible for OHIP services.

please how are they going to know that i was present for 5 months do they ask for a passport or somthing else .please give info thank you

There is something called as 'trust'. They trust you. The website clearly sates that it is your responsibility as a Ontario health card holder to inform the Ministry about your absence. Now if you want to hide the facts, that's your call.
There have been situations in the past where if they suspect they ask you to prove that you were within the country.
