Hi,
In case some documents in the citizenship application checklist are missing, when will cic inform me about that?
a) As soon as my application is opened?
b) After application processing begins when my application is transferred to a local office which in B.C.?
thanks,
VD
Update :
Update in the status
Your file was transferred to the Mississauga CIC office on March 31, 2009. The Mississauga CIC office will contact you if additional information is required. The Mississauga CIC office will contact you regarding your citizenship test once all the necessary checks on your file are complete.
Is this common msg or cic will ask me any additional information ???
Its a general message, same writing format for all.
goud, congratulations and am sure your case will fly from here onward. You waited for quite sometime. I know how it feels like. All the best,
Thanks bc2on, But its okay
How about you, got test date ????
Hi,
I applied for citizenship on Jan 19, 2009. Apparently my application is still sitting in the mail room of CIC office, waiting to be opened. I have been following this discussion thread from the beginning and I would like to clarify a few things (terminologies- please see the terminologies in quotes (" " below followed by my questions.)
When CIC mentions,
Example:
"Application received on August 1st 2008"
My question:
Does it mean that they opened my application for the first time but processing is yet to start? If yes, then will my application status be "on-line" from this point onwards?
"Application process started on Jan 27th 2009"
My question:
Does this mean that verification of my application started at this date? If yes, then what would cic be doing for 5 months from first opening my application?
"Application transferred to <local office> on March 31st 2009"
My question:
Does this mean there will be another round of processing done by the local office in the province where I reside? Is it true that the processing is always quick after this point?
The reason I ask is because I would like to leave Canada for some time (several months) and I am waiting on my application status to go on-line thinking that it will be easier for me to track once it is online.
Please advise. Thanks in advance,
VD
