This trend was started by me over a year ago and I should tell you that this trend and couple of other trends have helped me immensely while the whole process of Canadian Citizenship. I got my citizenship in Nov 2008 and then we applied for my wife's citizenship in Nov 08 and in Mar 09 we see online status change.

I find different responses on cic's website as "We received your payment, along with one or more citizenship applications. To find out how long it takes to process a routine application, please consult the Application Processing Times" while earlier it used to say something like we have received your request on .... dt and we have started processing you we have send you a letter with a study book.

Do people have the similar responses...

any updates ????

nope! since the past 5 weeks, my file has been "in the process of being transferred" to mississauga office!
does anyone have any idea how long this process take, coz the CIC agent said he had no idea!
(on 16th march, i got my clearance in sydney, and cit. card was also made.)

Calling CIC every week, as per them background check in-progress, Contacted MP but they can't do anything during background check. File was transfered to Mississauga Oct 15, 2008.

Anyone still waiting from same period.
