Hi Guys, I am planning to apply for US visitor visa. I have a concern, though. Should I require any documentation/invitation letter from my relatives there? What if I am not visiting them, or just visiting any town/city across the border? What do I need to keep in mind while filling up the forms, etc.
Also, I have just applied for my citizenship last month. Should I wait to get it (which may take about an year) or just go ahead with the visitor visa if I am planning to visit this summer?
Any response would be appreciated.
Thanks very much.
An invitation letter could help as a support secondary document if your trip will possibly take you to your relatives'. In other words, if you plan on visiting Buffalo area by driving and your visit is for 3 days and if your relatives live in California, you may not visit them and you will not need a letter. At the interview, you may, however, be asked about relatives in the US.
No, you don't need to wait to become a Cdn before entering US.
