hi there,
i want to extend my mom vistior visa , some one told me it will impact her visit next time when she will go for vistior visa in canadaian embassy next time
(i mean they say they refuse the visa if you go for extension) any idea or truth about it?
thanks in advance
Hi,
Yes, this is a really easy process. You need to call immigration canada 1888-242-2100 and request them to send you a visitor visa extenstion kit. Its really easy paperwork and requires a fee of $75 (am not sure if this is accurate amount..i got this done for my mom smtime back..the total expense was around $225)..Also you will see a list of doctors in that kit. You will have to go to one of them and get certain tests done for which the will charge you around $125 to $150..so, $75+$150=$225. They will send report directly to CIC.
After you have filled the paperwork, paid $75 at bank and gotten theses tests done you can mail the paperwork back. This has to be sent 30 days before her visitor visa expires.
Also, she has visited me after that as well so i dont think an extension detoriates your chances of another visit.
Dont worry, its easy.
Goodluck!!
hi,
i dwnload kit from cic site, i cant see any doctor stuff there, has they changed it?
