USB key is one option.

If you want to avoid using any other hardware then Easiest way would be to use 'File Share' of any Messenger.

Windows has a built in remote login feature. You will have to leave your computers on, and connected to the internet to use this feature.

I haven't tried it yet, but maybe this is a good place to start:

You can access your home computer from your work via Remote Desktop Connection (I am assuming you use Win XP Pro and Remote Desktop is not disabled in the XP image your work place is using). In order to use remote desktop, you will need to open port 3389 on your home router and then point it towards the IP of the computer you are trying to access.

You won't be able to access your work computer from home via Remote Desktop, might wanna ask your work people to provide you with a VPN in order to do that.

These are the ways you can access your home computer from work and vice versa, but you won't be able to share files as both the computers are on different networks. But you can always use free file uploading sites like http://www.yousendit.com" rel="nofollow">LINK or http://www.fileflyer.com" rel="nofollow">LINK to share files.

Hope this helps.

You can access files on your home computer by setting up an FTP server. It is very easy. You can use IIS or you can download a free one. I love filezilla which is free and opensource:

http://filezilla-project.org/

You can google for information on how to setup an ftp server. There are tons of articles. Many articles tell you to have a static IP address. Not necessary. You can go here:

http://www.dyndns.org

You can register a domain name for free and install a small utility that will take care of changing IP addresses on your home computer which is most likely a DHCP client.

Once you setup your home computer as an FTP server, you can install an FTP client on your office computer and access all the files/folders on your home computer.
