Hi Freddie,
Thank you for your reply. Really helped me out.

I mentioned Toronto, ON in my application but landed in Vancouver, BC due to a job offer there. No one ever questioned me.
Hi bc2on,
Thanks for ur input.

Hello CD Seniors,
After a long and fruitful innings in the United Arab Emirates, we are a family of four migrating to Canada under the Skilled Worker category.
We have just received from the UK Visa Office, our passports with stamped Visas and COPR (Confirmation Of Permanent Residence) Docs for our family. We did not have to go through an immigration interview. The COPR mentions the destination as Toronto, ON.
Although we have an established support network of friends in Toronto ON, after much thought, re-consideration and research, we have determined that we would like settle in Vancouver BC and make our first landing there directly, in the first week of Oct 09.
1. We would like to re-confirm whether there would be any official objection to / issues in landing at a different destination at Immigration Dept., (it does say in the accompanying letter "Instructions & Information: Seeking Admission to Canada as Permanent Resident" that we can land at any border crossing / international airport in Canada - except for the province of Quebec where we would need a 'Certificate de Selection Du Quebec'. We have also seen posts from CD members that there were no issues due to last minute change of destination. Please re-confirm / advise
2. We understand that while ratifying our immigration documentation at the airport – they will need us to supply an address and maybe telephone number for communications in Canada. Does it have to be an address and phone number in BC or could it be a Toronto friend's physical contact? Could it be a P.O. Box – as we could easily book a local BC P.O. Box and reserve a telephone number with voice mail facility online? One concern being that in Canada mail is normally delivered to a physical address and not to P.O. Boxes.
We would like to express our admiration for the website Canadian Desi! From the huge number of topics, queries, replies and active interest from members / seniors / advisors / specialists that I see on the site, I am sure it is a fantastic support tool for both new Immigrants and the Asian community at large. Kudos! Best Regards Kalyan -
