Today I received a notice from CIC to appear for oath on Oct 10th. I already booked my ticket to go to India on 24th Oct for a month. My ticket is non refundable, non cancellable. I don't think I will be able to get Canadian passport and Indian visa that fast if I appear for oath on 10th. Can anybody advise me from their similar experience if ever had any or what is the best thing for me to do? Also in oath notice it states that if I fail to attend the ceremony I either have to apply from the begining (new application) or convince the judge that I had a good and valid reason to not attend the oath. I am confused and don't want to get stuck in the middle by taking wrong step. Please advise.

Thanks for your suggestion Hiren. I checked passport canada website and I can request urgent service by paying $70 extra. They will issue in 24 hours.
Only thing I am scared of is getting Indian visa. Sarkaari dept. se deal karte hue darr lagta hai what if they don't issue visa on time I will loose $1500 on ticket. Indian embassy's website states a week to issue visa. Can someone kindly share their experience of getting Indian Visa how long did it take etc. I am not worried about getting passport. Any advise will be greatly appreciated. I am in do or die situation.
