Hi CD members,
I need to ask any members who are aware of the fact : Can we fight /speeding tickets in courts near to their place of stay and not in the court mentioned in the ticket issued?
If any of the members are aware on this please share your views

If only it was that simple.
No, you will have to go to the court that is mentioned on the ticket. That court is the legal battleground of the authority that gave you the ticket in the first place.
Alternatively, you can hire a paralegal to represent you in the court and fight on your behalf.
It all depends on how bad the ticket is and how far is the city you were ticketed in from where you live. Say if its just a 2-3 point ticket and the court is a four hour drive from my house, I would rather just pay it off.
i have fight a few tickets on my own and won em...well u have right to change the court dates...i usually change twice and hope the cop doesnt show up the next time..and it worked for me...
first go get the court date...the court date wont be till next yr in b4 march...once u get the court date..if u want u can get the lawyer..but they are rip off..so dont suggest one..
Thanks Desi guy for your reply. When asking for dates at the first date do we not have to be in the court?

i usually send my brother for the first court date he asks judge if i can get another date...and they give couple of dates to choose from..and a tip is that dont take the date the cop want u to take...the cop wud kinda say..im coming back on nov 3rd how about that...absolutely not..how about sumtimes in dec since i mite be leaving the country next month...

It seems like you are pretty proud of your reckless driving and exploiting legal loopholes

who said i was driving recklessly? well i wasnt.i actully saved an accident which i dun think i wud ever be able prove in the court..its ur wrds agains the cop...the judge wud listen to the cop not me..watz a point..and yes i proud of my self for saving some OF MY money..dont u think they(gov) take enuff tax out of us? .i cud have hired a lawyer but sorry i aint rich like others..
and another time i got ticket to make a right turn..where it said no turn between 7 ro 9..and im like 99% sure that i made the turn just b4 7...he pulls me over and does not come out of his car for 10 mins..and then he comes out and to get my stuff and gives me ticket saying i made the turn at 7:10
now can u argue with them? nope...they ahve so much power..no point arguing.
one more thing...i have a cop living in my neighbourhood..he doesnt get parking ticket...go figure.
