Hi,
I have got a date for the US visitor visa interview in Toronto.They have suggested that I take along a self addressed envelope with me.I would like to know how long it will take for the visa to reach me by post if I get through the interview.Does anyone know if there is an option whereby I can request for a speedy issue of the visa in person citing the reason that I need to travel to the US as an emergency?

In Canada up to two weeks if a holiday intervenes. If you want it sooner, then include a courier prepaid envelope.(Way Bill) They only charge it to your credit Card if they use the way bill. Talk with the couriers.
If you have a Very Good Reason and you can 'prove' that it is an EMERGENCY, then they will oblige you at this stage. So, do you have all of these ready currently?
If so carry them with you.
