I am a US resident and moving to toronto, i am a PhD with 2 y exp and i was offered $ 70 K + 5% bonus+ stock + medical in a pharma research based company. I have 2 kids and spouse who is also a PhD and looking for job in pharma.

Is 70K enough to live in GTA with 2 kids (one 5 y old and 1 y old). Can any one suggest apartments near airport and also some home based daycare.

Any advice on pharma job market in toronto area.

Yes. It is a very good salary.
For both your kids you will get $100 each from the Govt. to offset taking care of them.
Airport is at the edge of Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton.
One Indian area for housing is:
1. Malton (Punjabi Area. Lot of indecent people are there + the schools are filled with these people. Mostly Indian labourers settle there. You can get very cheap daycare there)

Depending on the exact location of your office, We can suitably recommend you to nice houseing nearby

Also remeber that Ontario is undergoing recession at the moment (though they are still pumping millions into Ontario universal healthcare), so no guarentee about you being able to hold jobs.
