My laptop was very slow.I showed it to someone.He said the memory is very low and he tested it by putting a 1gb memory card.Laptop worked GR8 with it.

Now I need to buy this memory card.I know only future shop and best buy.Can someone suggest any other place or sites to look for one.He can get it for $83.I wanted to see if I can get a better price.

I need 1GB DDR PC2700 333MHZ SODIMM.

$83 for 1G seems very expensive.

Do you want it to be DDR only or thinking about DDR2 as well (depending upon your system) ? you may want to check the price for DDR2 which seems to be always on sale either at FS or bestbuy

Even I thought that $83 is expensive but then I had no knowledge on this subject that's why I thought of consulting CD's.

The person who checked my laptop said that it has to be DDR only.My laptop is Toshiba.

Thanx to HEM 13 for offering the memory card but unfortunatly it was not compatible.

In your case DDR seems to be the right memory. I had got a very good deal (online) at FS around 2 months back.

tigerdirect is another good option.
