When does somebody gets called as a Terrorist while he is considered as a Freedom Fighter by someothers ?.

Bhagat Singh faught the terrorist in the British ruled India and he was considered as a terrorist by the British while in free India he became a Shaheed and a Freedom Fighter ?.


The same way currently the LTTE is called as a terrorist by the Srilankan Government:

The Mumbai attackers have been called as Terrorists by India while they were liberating the country of India as their fellow people have been oppressed by India.

It is very confusing to deal with the definition of Terrorist versus Freedom Fighters.

In the same way there is this fight going on in south India where they always call the next guy being not a true tamil versus a non tamil.

Classic examples being Jayalalitha eventhough being born in Tamilnadu is still being called as a non-tamil; while Karunanidhi considers himself tamil while the opposition has enough evidence to prove that the forefathers of Karunanidhi is being from Andhrapradesh.

The same discussion is on about Rajinikanth and Vijayakanth; while nobody talks about MGR whose is malayalee born in Srilanka.

In the same sense my white supervisors always refer to any brown guy as that Indian guy eventhough many of them are born in North America, studied and raised here. When will many of us be Canadians and not Indians ?. In todays ABC news it was exposed that an Indian American hotelier was backing African American Jesse Jackson Jr in his fund raising efforts to "BUY" vacated seat of the African American Barack Hussain Obama from the Serbian American Illinois Governor.

You voice your opinion and be passive in your efforts and you have to be promoting your cause enjoined with others and leading, to be considered as a freedom fighter.

When you bear arms, carry sticks and stones and fight it with punch for punch and destroy the properties and valuable assets and cause havoc, road blockage, without the written authorization of the local Government, you become a pain in the a$$.

This is not the only definition, but they are all a part of it.

There is a stigma associated with each of these groups, because of the havoc that they have caused in their own country and outside of their country too. Hence we avoid supporting them and also be called one of them.
