TK, how can you say that Prabhakaran was behind Rajiv Gandhi's murder ? Just because everyone says that. Well not everyone, read below :

LTTE has assasinated a number of political leaders in Sri Lanka in the name of freedom.. every time a peace initiate by the SL govt was made , Prabhakaran refused to accept anything less than complete independance..
So yes he is a terrorist regardless of what u think about the Rajiv gandhi assasination which btw i think LTTE is responsible for..
LTTE has lost support of a part of the SL Tamils shown by the break up into the Karuna Fraction and the Prabhakaran fraction..
The end is near for LTTE and peace in SL

End is near for LTTE for sure but peace for the Sri Lankan Tamils is no where in sight.
The sri lankan president has never said anything about the rehabilitation and merging of Sri lankan tamils into the mainstream singalase people.
Only time can tell what will happen to Sri lanka.

Are Sri Lankan Tamils different from Indian Tamils ? ... simple question .
If different , those demonstrating - are they Indians / Sri Lankans ?
I was confused when someone told me that those demonstrating or from Sri Lanka .

All those demonstrating are Sri Lankan Tamils. Infact all Indian Tamils are Indians first and Tamils next..

Hi Fido,
When people first populated Sri lanka, it is said that North Indian formed the main Singala population while the Tamils of India formed the Tamil population in Sri lanks. When the British ruled India and Sri Lanka, Many south Indians were taken as labourers to work in the tea planations of Sri lanka. Most of them never came back to India as conditions in Sri lanka were better than that of India.
So the Sri Lankan tamils are totally different culturally, politically and locationally from the current Indian Tamils. Who ever was in the rally was from Sri lanka and not from Indian Tamil nadu (though many sri lankan Tamils fled to Tamil Nadu of India and then applied for refugee status at all locations all over the world)
