Hi guys,
I went to this guy, with a reference from one of the CD post. Frankly speaking, this guy has a video shop, where in he does click photos with one of the camera, looks like a personal level model, in a back-room / stock room of his video library and then prints it out.
Charged me $20 for 5 OCI photo and 2 photos for citizenship.
(I went to someone at Dixie / Dundas and got it re-done. Excellent work. Wouldn't reference his name for personal reasons, since what happened in Mumbai's 26/11...)
I really didn't like the work of TAAL video guy, but if no options, it is okay to go to him.
Cheers!

I took my photo's in Kitchener and 2 or 3 photos (on a white background which the counsulate accepted) was $19. So considering that cost, this is cheap. But I have no idea about the quality. Check it out.

I used this link (posted by Iceberg on a previous thread):
http://www.epassportphoto.com/
- converted pictures from my digital camera to the OCI specs, using this link...
- and then ordered printout through walmart online...
Costed me under a $1 for all the pics needed for my entire family..

They say light color background but I found dark blue even okay for them.
Please find link below which shows example of correct photo for OCI.
http://mha.gov.in/oci/ICAO-Photo.pdf
Above link is from https://passport.gov.in/oci/OnlineOCIRegistrationG.jsp page which is official page for online OCI application. Go to this page and click on instruction button at bottom. Read point 5 and click on photo link. it will open the pdf file.
I have plan to submit OCI application with dark blue color background in coming week. I alread ask for an appointment as per requirement at Ottawa consulate and ready to submit. I hope there won't be any problem.
Thanks

Success is Never Ending and Failure is Never Final.
I have more points if someone can clarify.
1) Do I have to provide money order in US dollars or in equivalent local Canadian currency?
2) I have read somewhere that photocopies need to be self attested. Is it true? I could not find this information in hciottawa website.
3)Since I am filling up the form for me and my spouse as a group. That means I will be filling up two copies of form A and two copies of form B. Do I have to provide photocopies of my other documents (i.e. passport etc) for each set or only one set of photocopies is required.
Can anybody who has gone through this process clarify it.
Thanks

- You can pay in either currency, however they have different fee set for USD and CAD. Depending on the conversion rate at that particular day, you may decide what suits you more .

- Yes photocopies need to be self attested. All that means is you sign all the photocopies of your documents and your spouse signs her's.

- You will be filing one Form A. and Two Form B. and you have to attach photocopies to each set (i.e. 2 identicle sets). All this is clearly mentioned in the instructions.
Thanks
