I searched the forum and also looked in the Classifieds, but can someone suggest any names for movers to ship goods from India(Mumbai/Pune) to Canada. (boxes only, no furniture).
If anybody has used someone specific please let me know.

Try this firm in Mumbai. they have agents in Pune who will palletize and clingwrap and Insure and send them over to the destination port.
Make sure that the item that is getting shipped is worth the freight. Otherwise it will be waste of time energy and the monies that you spend.
You will have three set of expenses. Packing and forwarding at PUNE.
You will have clearing and booking in Mumbai with Custom and Brokerage fee, plus the documentation and the waybilling.
The same will apply here but you will have to appoint some one nearby where you live and get them to clear the items shipped and collect on your behalf and transport it to the destination, where you live. You can avoid the Third item if you decide to do it yourself. You will need 48 free hours. They only provide you with a few days (five) to clear the items through the customs. After that you pay the demurrage. (Storage fee). Like wise you can avoid the first item if you can bring it to their receiving location in Mumbai.

Once you get a quote, try to compare that with total expense if you have to purchase bare minimum of those in Canada.You don't wanna pay more if you can get those in Canada for almost or lil bit more.
