An athiest is too obsessed with denying GOD that he seeks to reinvent god(in the form of other rigid dogmas...e.g: communism).
The religious fanatic is so obsessed about the idea of a GOD and ends up doing the same.
The person who sees no need for god/supreme being/entity (and by extension religion...newage, scientology etc) is probably as learned/ignorant as the ones adamant on the infallibility of 'their' one god/religion.

Belief in God is one's own personal choice, but what about the philosophy underlying any religion?
As a Hindu, the philosophy of "Karmanye Vaadhikaraste" still applies to me whether I believe in God or not, whether I am a "practising Hindu" or not? Does the conflict between the religions gives philosophy/intellect a bad rap?
May be religion was "created" to rule out certain guidelines that any decent citizen could follow and bring law and order to the society. As time went by, maybe those guidelines became more rigid, and organised religion, as we see today, took its place, which ultimately gave rise to fanaticism. May be God was projected as a "positive boogeyman" to create a scare in people, so that they would follow the rules, out of fear of hell or punishment. Or in case of pagan religion, the forces of nature that acted in a mysterious way (wind/fire/water/electricity) gave rise to the concept of God
Atheism/veganism - any kind of "ism" always have a fanatic bunch of people adhering to their principles, not willing to accept the other party's point of view

You are talking about Perfect World, and if such world exists than in perfect meaning of "Religion" you won't find word "GOD". Religion is set of Believes.
You are part of Religion called 'Atheism'. So if I go by your words ... Take away religion and You may see God one day.
... I also don't want you to change your Path as well. Its all about being Happy. Whatever makes you Happy. But please don't get angry if someone is following some different Religion. I know science looks for proofs and if it is not Right - it got to be Wrong.

Okay so you have misread my post. I am not an atheist. You can relax now and try to understand what I am trying to say. I am saying there may be a supreme being. I don`t need a corrupt institution like religion to tell me where and how to find God and neither do I need that same dumb institution to tell some one else on my behalf that my God is supreme.

But that does not mean we should not have a healthy discussion without spite, correct?Bottom-line, I have seen many hate filled posts here in the name of religion. A lot of "fight-fire-with-fire", "he said, she said" etc etc. I am sure those posters (they know who they are) go to a temple, church or mosque and say their due prayers. What the f!#$ for?
