The best learning experience of this "Depression" is going to be that eventhough the same level of jobs will be recovered after the depression is over (may be after 10 years) the salary levels will not recover to the same levels.
It is happening is USA, India and much of EU. The days of Gekho's Greed is Good is gone. We all need to plan our lives like our parents who were frugal in their lives.
Frugality and Stinginess will be the way to go.
