hi friends ... well just a reminder I am based in Dubai, applied through London with AEO on 10th feb (fedex delivery date).
After that it had been the long wait no AOR, after about 30-35 days of waiting, I wrote to my lawyer on my AOR status, as I saw on trackitt that others with similar application dates got AOR with in 15 days average ..., so my lawyer after a couple of e-mails agreed to write an e-mail to CIC London, there was a prompt reply from them stating that they had started processing my application on 12th feb 2009 and gave a file number starting with B.
They mentioned that they try to finalize AEO cases in 6 months as listed on their website but it is not always possible and depends on personal circumstances of the applicant etc.
They also mentioned that they will contact my lawyer when they are in a position to proceed with my application.
well friends I have seen that most of us have got updated documents requests with the AOR and in many AEO cases even the medical is requested with AOR, but I haven’t received the AOR , however I know my file is in process and file number.
I know I may be unnecessarily worrying, but am confused ... I don’t want to end up in a position that they might have posted my AOR on 12th feb itself which I receive after like 75-80 days and it would mention to update documents in 90 days or face rejection...... I hope you understand my concern....
However as my application was with an AEO I had submitted all documents with the application except the e PCC that might have expired and require updating.....
So friends please share your views... should I just wait or contact them again or do something else.......
And sorry for this question....
Best regards to all...

You should be able to view your file using the AOR number they provided (the one starting with B).
Are you able to view your file online?
If so, every time they send a letter requesting documents or medicals or whatever, they update the site to indicate that a letter has been sent and the date it was sent.
That way, you will know to watch out for the letter.
I have no idea about processing times these days, but it's been less than 30 working days since they started processing your file.
It used to take much longer to get medical requests or request for documents.
Maybe things have become much faster in recent years, but 30 days just seem very less.
