yes everything is correct !

I'm very newly wedded - no kids yet ! It was a court job. But I did ve a reception party making sure I had a lot of group pix of ppl & relatives. I knew d usual Qs were if,parents frm both sides were present, & if not why!
In my case, my parents were not there, so I had to make do with her parents pix ! Took pix of honeymooning too. All d receipts fr d reception were also attached.
I think d better u present ur case, d faster it is. I had infact written my comments of who were present, occassion,time etc behind every pix. Also my flight tickets, phone calls etc were attached.

I guess mine took abt 4 months fr everything.

My wife got her visa recently

Anyways, the timeline was as follows

--> Applied on Feb 10th, 04.
--> Received acknowledgement letter and notice of file transfer to New Delhi on Mar 8th.
--> Wife received request for passport from New Delhi on Mar 22nd!!
--> Got her passport back with the visa on April 12th.

That was fast! Just over two months. I have to say I'm pretty impressed.

Is there any mandatory period or Annual Income the PR is required to show b4 he can sponsor his spouse ? I am a PR , got married later & am currently out of Canada . I intend re-entering shortly .

Q is - Am I eligible 2 apply 4 spouse sponsorship upon re-entering Canada / getting a job / spending some time in job ??? . Money & funds is not a constraint otherwise .

Secondly - Can I initiate the proceedings while out of Canada ie currently ??

- YOU CAN SPONSOR SPOUSE AS SOON AS YOU RETURN TO CANADA. NO NEED TO HAVE A JOB AND/OR MONEY/INCOME.

- NO UNLESS YOU ARE A CANADIAN CITIZEN
